Photo Shop Questions and Answers Here
If you have questions about Photo Shop, ask them here and hopefully someone can answer them here. I have my very own Guru for this one, so hopefully she can come in and answer any questions here.
Re: Photo Shop Questions and Answers Here
Basically, I want to start making kits because I love making graphics in photoshop in general, and I'd love to make some kits of my own. The only thing is, I only find tutorials for PSP and Creative memories. I havePSP but I'm not as familiar with it as I am with PS and I would rather use it. =o\ Any help at all?
Thank you.
Thank you.

If you are already familiar with making graphics in photoshop, why not just try adding some texture to them? You can do that by taking a photo of lets say.....some cardboard. Open that photo up in photoshop and stretch it to cover a 12x12 300 dpi canvas. Desaturate it and click on edit>define pattern. Now you have just made your own pattern. Now open/create the graphic or shape you want to work with. You can go into layer styles and check pattern overlay. Play with the settings until you like what you have. You can also add a bevel, inner shadow, etc. Try the different blend modes, the most common one is overlay. See how that makes your item look like a piece of cardboard (or whatever you decided to use for a texture)? That's one quick and easy way to make cool textured elements.
For papers, open a 12x12 300 dpi canvas and fill it with the color of your choice. Take some photos around your house of different textures. Open the photos in photoshop, desaturate them and stretch them over your color fill. Play with the blending modes until you like what you have. You can use as many or as little photos of texture as you like to get a cool looking paper. Merge all the layers together and save as a jpeg.
Those are just some really basic ways to make elements and papers in photoshop. There are so many many different ways to create things. The only limit is your imagination! But hopefully that gives you some good ideas to start with.
